Day 1

We will learn about hardware and software.
Hardware is the parts of the computer that someone can touch.  
Software is the instructions the computer follows.  It is what we do on the computer.
We will learn that screens, trackpads, and keyboards are hardware.  You will learn about the home keys and practice using them on Typing Club. Typing Club is software.
TYPING CLUB

Day 2

We will learn more about hardware and software.
We will learn the names of computer hardware. 
Slideshow 
You will work with a partner to match the names of hardware to their pictures.  Then, you will practice typing on Typing Club.

Day 3

We will learn more about hardware and software.
We will learn about software we can use to learn to use our keyboard correctly.  

You will use Typetastic or Typing Club to learn to use the keyboard.

Day 2

We will learn more about hardware and software.
We will learn to solve some common software problems.
You will discuss common problems and how to solve them with a partner.  Then, you will make a poster about how to solve common software problems.
